Hi guys-

Max here taking a break from yard patrol to thank everyone who came out to see me at Borders. I have quite a few followers!! I hope one of them turns out to be my forever home because there were some really nice folks out there. Well I'll be taking a break from blogging to celebrate the holidays with my foster foster holiday home ;) It will be nice to see some of my other greyhound friends again and make some new ones. At the very least, I can tell you I'm planning to attend the winter picnic on January 15th, so if I don't see you before then, then I hope to see you there. Happy Holidays.

Love,
-Max

Halloween Festivities

Hi All, it's Amigo Max again. I wanted to share some pictures from my first retirement Halloween! I had so much fun (although I question my foster mom's need to dress me as a football)! There were treats and kids and costumes! Enjoy my pics (oh and sorry for the "crazy eyes" in the one picture).

On another note, you can finally call me the stairmaster. After weeks of practice I can successfully go up and down the stairs at my foster home. This means my foster mom can't get away from me now no matter how hard she tries because I will follow her....
I've really got this whole retirement thing down and am now ready to find my own forever home.

Have a greyt week!

Loving It!

Max here....

So, I'm finally settling into my retirement. My foster mom keeps referring to me as a "velcro hound" and I'm not sure what that means but boy do I love to be by her side every chance I get. If she moves, I move. If she's outside without me, I'll stand at the window and stare out at her until she comes back inside.

I sleep well through the night in my foster parents' floor and if I get up too early, I just go lay back down and wait for signs of movement.

I'm still working on the stairs. I have going down them down pat but going up is not the easiest thing (nobody warned me about these pesky things called stairs).

This morning I thought I saw a huge blue and white monster. Turns out it was a cement truck. I just knew it was going to get me and I tried my best to run far, far away. After some soothing talking my foster mom calmed me down and I finished my walk right by her side (because that's where I should walk and because I was scared the monster might come back).

I'm a super loving boy that would love to find my forever home! I'll be at 100 Oaks for the meet and greet this Saturday and I'll be wearing my new Halloween costume so come out and see me!

What is this retirement thing I keep hearing about???

Hi all, Amigo Max here. I am just beginning my retirement and I'm doing my best to settle in to my new life.

I love to be right next to my foster mom at all times so I don't miss out on anything new. I eat all my food and any treats that may come my way. I also like to lounge and nap in my kennel. I haven't quite mastered the stairs yet but I'm working on it. I'm learning to walk nicely on lead and I am really good at doing my "business" on lead. I sleep well through the night in the floor in my foster parents' bedroom. I love to ride in the car (I jump in the back all by myself). I'm pretty sure I'm going to really enjoy my new life once I figure out my new routine and all the new surroundings. My foster mom says I'm a good boy who just needs a little time to adjust to my new life.
